Tomorrow is going to be a sad day for me. My mom would've and should've turned 77. Why she had to be taken by cancer, before she even turned 60, I don't know. If ya'll still have your moms around, call and tell them that you love them!!!

Sorry about your mom. My wife lost her mom to cancer New Years Day 1991. It is a terrible thing.

Why do dispatchers, of companies small and large, treat their drivers like children, and refuse to give info about next load before the empty call? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Actual conversation, with a shipper, just now.
Shipper..... this is a reefer load and temp has to be 36 plus.
me..... ok, so 36 or over.
shipper.... no. Has to be 36 degrees above 0.

    What????????? Lol

I know this answer, least as far as Knight's dispatcher training goes anyway. Because if they let drivers know too much they think the drivers will plan their trip based on the info and arrive at the consignee with just enough hours in his 14 to deliver instead of running hard to get their and being ready to roll as soon as they are empty.
