Hi all.......anyone know what type of background check Werner Enterprises does?? Do they do a 5 year background check, 7 year, 10 year, etc? How hard is it to get hired on with them? Thanks in advance.

Why not just tell everyone what you are concerned about and when it happened? Put where you live in your profile, this will help others help you.

Ya what 77smartin said.Werner is as easy as every other starter company to get hired with providing you don't have any outstanding and recent marks on your mvr.Like DUI,reckless.

I'm concerned about when I applied I out the misdemeanor that I had about 5 years ago, but later realized that I didn't put the misdemeanor that I had 11 years ago.... I've read how most companies want to know everything that's on your record. I'm wondering if this will be something that might stop them from hiring me.... It was a misdemeanor for theft.

What did the application ask for? Did you answer all the questions on the app. Truthfully? Usually they will ask what you did for a certain length of time. Most don't even ask about misdomenors. Get them expunged. Then you don't have to worry about them at all. Don't give anymore information than the App asks for. I made the mistake of doing that on a few apps. And they never called me back. But if I answer just the questions that are asked on an app I'm good to go with most companies. Just don't lie.

rizob has nailed it. Do not lie but do not give them more than they ask. If they ask if you've ever been arrested then tell them. But if they ask have you ever been found guilty of a felony then you answer that question but don't tell them no but I have been found guilty of another crime. Can you see what we are saying? You want to be honest but you don't want to tell your life story because you might think it's good to let them know. Only answer what they ask. If you're not sure what they are asking ask for clarification but be careful there too.

As far as your application you have already submitted if you did not answer their questions go back and tell them. I'd much rather do that and lose a job than have them submit that I lied on a job application. And if it's a close call you can always call them and tell them you found work elsewhere.
