Those girls in Indy are lazy. They make the guys drop them off in front of that motel, lol. Ever notice that?

Stay warm and sleep in you clothes. I had an engine fail on me in the middle of the night.
Waking up to -2 in my boxers is nothing I ever want to experience again.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Stay put.
Fun the danged truck if it's cold. It's colder with ice than snow. Ice is wetter than snow, more humidity makes you feel colder. You wait until the roads are safe, let the idjuts try to drive on ice. Unless you have skates or a skateboard... :0)

thing is to watch the fuel , just remember POWER OUTAGES effect the Truckstop fuel pumps
Dinomite, NavigatorWife and Chinatown Thank this. -
Cheer up the weather people are saying it'll be 40 degrees down there tomorrow .
And the storm ain't even up here yet... 12'-14' of pasting snow with wind nice!!! -
Gunk De-Icer aerosol can works great if you need it ... and when your wipers start getting chunks of ice on them ... just a little spray will keep them clear of ice for hours. Used it 2 weeks ago on I 20 between Florence and Columbia SC ... never even saw the surface of the road the whole way

Well that is another story, company too cheap to provide bunk heaters run the sucker all night. I am sitting right now with a really bad flu bug you dont need to be getting sick because you have no bunk heater.NavigatorWife Thanks this.

Yep, in weather like that I always top off the fuel tanks before parking.Criminey Jade Thanks this.

Safest thing is for the driver to be comfortable. Uncomfortable drivers don't sleep well. Cutting the truck off and on doesn't allow you to get comfortable AND it will burn up the starter. Screw all the nonsense about idling policies and fuel bonuses.
At the expense of personal comfort? They've got you fooled.Criminey Jade Thanks this.
