when you try and get your new med card at your new employer if you tell them you have high sugar or check the box for that, they will put the test on you. if your blood sugar is over 200 you are not allowed to drive, with your test being that high you are over 200 quite often. with a 9.9 score that high you really need to start taking better care of your sugar levels,am not try to lecture you about it but please try and get the level down. lots of luck

Again. I'm asking for specific info on companies that don't have A1C testing.
-
Knight did test me.I told them I have type II.

Dart up north of you did not ck. my driver that lives cross the way, he should be on insu. but still takes hand/full of meds.

Yep you let your diabetes run out of control you start running short on your own insulin. Then your body switches to burning fatty acids and producing acidic ketone bodies which poisons your blood and can put you in a coma. Then they stick you in the hospital and hook an IV up to you and try to suppress the ketone bodies. It's called diabetes ketoacidosis. You don't want to go there.
I have a high A1C and started Victoza today. I'm excited I now have something that might work. One of the side effects is weight loss. That's one step closer to getting back to normal. If you have problems keeping your numbers down I would consider it. -
From what I understand Prime does not check A1C.
That's a good thing. As a diabetic, sometimes I slip up. This slip up lasted a few months of heavy drinking.
I know that's a bad thing but hey...it happened.
If any Prime or FFE drivers who are type 2 can chime in with a concrete answer, that would be fantastic. -
I'm still on pills. The last A1C from 6 months ago was 7.2
Like I said, rough few months. Not on insulin nor will i let it get out of control like this again.
Already lost one job because of it...hope I don't lose my new old career.CondoCruiser and TheTruckdr Thank this. -
Some companies ask for a1c results, some do not. Depends what each company policy is.
-
I'm trying to find which companies don't have that in their policy.
-
Amazingly, it doesn't state anywhere in FMCSA about an A1C test.
Legally, it's not included in DOT physicals. Hmm....
