Pacific MO P lot. Worst week for miles last week since starting dedicated (lot of detention), followed by this week being best. Averages out I guess.

This morning around dawn on a two lane (37 in southern MO) I see a car approaching from behind at high speed while in a no passing going up a low hill. Then see another car coming from other direction just over the hill. Car behind me pulls out to pass me doing 90+ mph right as we crest the hill. Other car sees him and heads for the 2 ft wide shoulder I get over and hit the brakes hard as he cuts in front missing both of us. No idea how we fit 3 wide on that road but everyone missed each other and stayed on the road. In the last second thought someone is going to die. Sometimes...it's great to be wrong.
jeepnut_nh, DirkSteel, Bayle and 2 others Thank this. -

My life is boring at one of my ussal drop offs parked in there lot to be unloaded in the am. Had a preplan for tomorrow but it got canceled, but being dedicated i just know i have to run back to the same shipper so dont matter.
Only excitement i had today was coming up to a snowy roundabout. Started slowing down well before it and the trailer tried to race the truck to the intersection. Saw my empty fletbed coming around and rolled back into the throttle got her to snap back in behind. Was kinda freaky seeing it happen though. Thought for sure it was going to keep coming around. I was barely applying the breaks and it happend. -
This Cascadia idles non-stop at below zero. Last night it was around 2 or so and it stayed on. Shut it off tonight because it's around 9 or so here by in Elgin, IL at the TA. Two tows would have be extremely irritated for sure.jeepnut_nh Thanks this.

Yes, it is very difficult sometimes. But at least they have that run-away toilet paper budget whipped back into place. If the new single square dispensers don't solve the toilet paper problem, the next step will be signing out 3 squares at a time from the parts counter. Any more than that and it will be a payroll deduction.jeepnut_nh and Projektf350 Thank this.

Have you lost your mind? Stop giving them ideas!jeepnut_nh, DsquareD and Projektf350 Thank this.
