2012 light problem need help!!!

    2012 prostar has a light problem. tail and rear turn only work with key off. key on quits working. is it the turn signal switch or something else. cab side light dim like there is a short???? box in battery box also clicks when you turn the emergancy flashers on????

    Sounds like you have more than one problem. One thing you can try is to cold boot the body controller computer. To do this simply disconnect battery power to the cab for about 5 mins then reconnect and retest.

    Try what Heavyd said before you do anything else.

    It works for lots of these malfunctions, and not just on International, it doesn't hurt, and costs only a little time.

    man at this point I'll try anything. work for large trucking company. we don't have a scanner to check codes or anything. Trying to keep from going to the dealer. SLOOOOOOW!!!!!

    found that rear tail lights had no ground.

    Weird things happen. I don't see why the key on or off should matter if that was the case, but anyway I am glad you got it to work!
