Parked Here for the Night

Back at home again. Dispatch wanted me to deliver the load yesterday insisting the customer was open till 8. I've delivered there before but they shut down at 5 then. Sure enough, I get there at 530pm and the last two guys are leaving.

"We receive 8am to 3:30pm and close up at 5." I said "I knew it!" Called dispatch and they said just bring it to the yard, lol. kind of satisfying knowing you were right all along!

 

Getting a load mañana for Decatur, GA. RR Donnelly. Hopefully it's not SNAFU loaded.

 

Well guess it will be the Petro in Amarillo since they are taking all day to fix my bracket from an earlier blow out. Do another 4 hours and I'll have an 8 hr break. Get some night owl trailer trucking done. Already got a preplan for Nogales after I get this load off Sunday. Man I don't think I'll ever get a 34 hr reset in.

The parking lot is enormous. The last 2 or 3 rows are practically empty but the lazy drivers will double park along the driveway close to the building. Or they'll circle the front rows 2 or 3 times rather than go directly for the back rows like I do.
