I happenrto care about the truck drivers and have the utmost respect for them and their profession. Without them, where would this country be?
Some Wal-Marts will let a truck driver park in their lot and go in and shop, some won't. I know there are some truck drivers that are slobs but there can be rules made that will stop their bad activity.
WalMart has much better prices then the truck stops! You get a heck of alot more for your money at WalMart. -
WalMart has a pharmacy and all the groceries and supplies a truck driver needs.
Like I said some WalMarts let you park, some don't.
Do you like to spend money unneccessarily? If 2 items are in front of you and one cost more which would you pick, the less expensive one or the more expensive one?
Truck stops are rather expensive. Can you imagine what the bill would be if you bought all your groceries and supplies in there? -
karen, who does your boyfriend work for? i'm just curious because i see you're from louisville and i work for a company in sandersville.

I agree, trucks make the world go round. But if some places dont let you park there then what are ya gonna do? You can waste a lot of time and effort trying to make them change their practice of no truck parking. Or you can find another place, maybe a Wal-Mart even, that allows truck parking and do what ya gotta do. Most if not all grocery stores have parking in the rear if all else fails, and a lot of grocery stores have pharmacies in them which could be just as cheap as Wallies depending on your plan. The last place you want to guy groceries is at a truck stop.

Cajun, my boyfriend works for Werner Ent, but that is soon changing.

ALL WalMarts should allow truck parking, in front, on the side or in back. ALL of them. You truck drivers are important and WalMart has to understand that. You can buy all your supplies there even groceries there. What if you were not allowed to at all? Then you would have to stop at truck stops and pay their exhorbitantly high prices.
One bad driver probably threw all his garbage in the lot and left his piss bottles behind as well. Wouldn't you report this absurd behavior if it meant you could park anywhere in Wm's lot?
Well, that should be done!
As for me, i plan on calling WalMart corporate office and find out why some Wm's allow parking for truck drivers to spend their money in their store and why some don't. It is discrimination against all you truck drivers. I am then going to start a petition and go to all the truck stops I can and get signatures from as many truckers as possible.
I rode for 4 months on the truck with my boyfriend and I hate when he goes into a truck stop when he needs a few things. It is too expensive. Who knows maybe WM can do business with the truck stops. There has to be a way. -
Heck if being a slob or having bad activity would make it to where a person was not allowed to enter the store then half the idiots at my local Wal-Mart would not be allowed in. In effect they would eliminate half their profit. I can't see that money hungry company doing that. -
I hope that you can get something done, but don't be surprised if they tell you what you don't want to hear.....because I was told at one point that the reason only Walmart trucks are allowed was because too many trucks were parking and had so many complaints from 4 wheelers about not being able to find a park because of the trucks.....you would think that as much money as we spend at Wamart that they would allow parking...but they don't think the way we do....good luck!

Some do, some don't. Depend's on how big of an ### hole the manager is! I know Wiley Sanders Truck Lines has special parking for Wiley Sanders trucks only in Calera, AL. Ol' Wiley purchased these space's which are being illegaly used by other drives after tearing down the sign's stating so. I have seen a many of ticket's writtin' for parking in those spot's and not having a #### thing to do with Wiley Sanders. From what I hear it's a pretty steep fine. I don't know but I have seen the cop's "spit paper" on the windhield's while I was in a Wiley truck. Now here in south Shreveport on Mansfield rd. I haven't heard of them saying anything about it and we have parked there once or twice in the past before we left on our trip out. I supprised they haven't banned it yet do to one of Walmart's driver's dropped a trailer in the parking lot and the landing gear sank right through to asphalt. We sat there for a bit talking to the drive and then our favorit "come pull us out" tow truck driver Willam for Loydd's towing came and picked it up. If you ever get to meet Willam, he is a cool ol' boy. He know's us well and has had to deal with us a few times.

He's pulled us out of the mud coutless times. We were getting off a Jewella off of 3132 around Shreveport started to hit the brakes and the tandems shot straight to the rear of the trailer and almost ripped the nose clean off with a full load of beer. I don't see how the trailer stayed together for the travel south to the S&A truck stop on Hwy 171 where they had to use a flat bed as a dock to unload the beer onto another trailer.
It's really depend's on where you are. Some place's you have up tight rich ##### people who despise and don't give #### whether the truck brought it or not which those people should be shot in the head for being such arrogant, stuck up, ### holes then there are place's like here that couldn't give a #### less. They know, they support the truck driver and most know how it is because someone in their family drives. Plus, like I said, it's up to how big of an ### hole the manager want's to be. Good luck with your protest because with walmart, it's like the government. Even as much as you try and as much as you want to happn, you'll never get it.
