Hey Flatbedn the atlas is only required for students. Experience gets the choice.

I was told in sunnyvale that we had to have an atlas with us or buy one of theirs. Luckily, I brought mine with me!

I use qualcomm gps, but melton makes me pay for it. Less than $2 a week.

Bought meltons knee pads also, never been used.

Yea I broke down and bought the 520 gps and I love it. Only problem is I can't figure out how to turn off the HOS function.

I'm a student and they wouldn't let me activate the Navgo till I get off the trainers truck. They want students to be able to trip plan when the system goes down. Which I agree with. Its funny when my trainer is on drive time navgo works log me in and it's log only. My trainer has multi million mile experience and my brand new atlas we'll have no problem.

Other than the fact the atlas will fall apart in a week. Lol

I advise getting a laminated spiral bound. It's very nice to have and can take abuse.

I plan on it but may wait till I get my own truck (I thought I packed light till they gave us all the stuff in orientation. The 660 is tight but the first 680 was just put in service.

Yep you would of thought that 680 had girls with bikinis in it yesterday after it was issued. Everyone wanted see it. But it was nice last night at the terminal no running trucks just apu's. Reason 4 or 5 why I went with Melton.

Yep I wish we all had 680. Or atleast a studio sleeper . I'm looking at a possible other job right now just based on the fact they use the studio sleeper 660.
