    I'm still a rookie.
I have less than 1yr Class A experience.
I've always got paid hourly so I have no clue as to what would be considered decent.
Is .50 or .54 per mile considered good with my experience?

That sounds very good, but keep in mind it's all about how many miles you run.

If you can average over 3000 miles a week, that's excellent money but something sounds a little fishy. I've never heard of any company paying a rookie driver that kind of money. Beware, I hope you did your home work and did a little research before signing on....good luck.

Not sure what this cat is talking about. If he is going otr. They won't acknowledge his local experience, and he'll be lucky to get 32cpm unless he goes to a flat bed or tanker outfit.

CCJR76, I ran flatbeds, double/single drops for over 30 years and that's standard pay for flatbed. Good for you on landing a job like that fresh out of school but I'm pretty sure you had to go through some kind of training before they let you go solo. I know I wouldn't want to work for any company that puts a rookie, fresh out of school behind the wheel, especially pulling a flatbed without any training in securement, etc. As you probably know by now, pulling a loaded flatbed is a hell of a lot different than pulling a loaded box trailer.
Good luck in your future endeavors and stay safe.
