Well I was leaving Northeast and I did get to see a Prime Prostar going the opposite direction. Guess with all of the Freightliners that they have always had I never thought of them having anything else.

Doesn't the "biggest power-plant" cut into your fuel mileage? I heard Prime was a PITA about mpg... unless that changed?

At $4 per gallon, it's the largest expense on the profit/loss sheet, and the low-hanging fruit for cost reduction. Keeping the fuel economy numbers up saves millions per year when averaged across the entire fleet.

Hope Prime doesn't have the issues with the PROSTAR like everyone else is having. Maybe International has all the bugs worked out of them. Might just be the Maxforce that has a lot of issues. What engine does these have in them?

I had a choice between '14 International and '14 Freightliner when I upgraded. Went with the ProStar for unknown reasons. It's super comfortable and I love the windows in the sleeper, but any time I need service it seems the folks in the Tractor Shops (Sprimo, Pittston, SLC) are just not equipped or experienced enough for the job. I brought it in to SLC for a check engine light and their diagnostic computer could read the codes but not clear them. They also tried to adjust the RPM so it would climb hills better but the command wouldn't accept, even with Springfield's authorization code. I'm still glad I chose the ProStar.

You want a truck? Get one that won't be giving you constant trouble, because a truck in the garage don't get no miles. And it really doesn't matter how comfortable a truck in the garage is.
