Crap happens and everyone is in different situation. Few post back said my opinion. OP has a 34hr restart soon. Enjoy the surroundings and take advantage of it.

    Agree 100%.

I always give 2 weeks notice for home time, and within two days or so of me getting home I decline any load not headed to the house unless dispatch explains the situation so I have a good understanding of what the plan is.

get a year, maybe two years in,and move on to a real trucking company. starter/dreg outfits like sni do that to drivers because they can and the driver doesn't have the experience to not take it from them.

best of luck to you man-

My first year I worked for PAM. They seldom got me home on time until I started pushing back. "No freight going your way" was the common response. " Bull! I live in Indy! Always freight going that way.
Starter companies think they own you. I say put your foot down. Squeaky wheel! !!

Telling? it's about working with (office personnel) planners beyond your control, finding the freight that moves the direction of home time on the date requested... unless of course they have other plans and or the driver pisses someone off in the office

    you sound a bit spoiled

Stick it out until you can change companies; there's some good ones that hire out of Albany. Start making plans now and you can have a better job at the 12 month experience mark. Some companies might bend their hiring rules and let you slide in before 12 months experience; ask!
