I haven't seen any jobs open to European drivers plenty of jobs advertised for drivers to haul grain but must be a resident or citizen I check the job boards and kijiji on a regular basis

Usually the employer would apply through the appropriate government program.

Yes @reverend-blair,i saw some Job adds with discribzions too like Hiring ppl from jamiaca etc.

must be an less complicated process to Hire from those countries maybe. Or it might be cheap labour without any offense. I will see what happens. Who are you working for out in mb if i may ask? :)

@stacks I wouldnt just go with job openings for ppl from overseas. I would just start gathering Info about companies you might like to work for and than send the hr Department an Email with simple questions. Usually they reply within 24 hours. Most of them have an Option for you. Usually bigger companies. Everything Out east usually does specially Ontario or pei or Nova scotia. Saw some small companies advertising in bc but it was otr trucking Paid by the Hour idk
    about that.

I don't want to say the name of the company I work for, but they manufacture ag equipment.

Hiring from countries like Jamaica and the Phillipines is definitely about the cheap labour. Manitoba is a low-wage province compared to Saskatchewan and Alberta. I don't mind the immigrants...not like my family came across the land bridge during the ice age...but the mentality of keeping wages low is bad for the economy in the long run.
