Well that is just it....For the smart business owner, who understands marketing and the networking/relationship piece will make more money or the same but not work as hard, as those who choose a "workroom" if you will...

That being said, we all need to start somewhere to learn and understand this trade, and those who learn will survive and those who don't will continue to complain there is no money in this trade......I tell my installers all the time if you are that good, you don't work for me (which is a large workroom with over 10k yards of carpet installed daily) and I don't mean your hand skills, I mean your business skills (marketing, financial, etc)

Garrison, that being said, and knowing I would have to start somewhere and honestly would like to run U.S. only from Miami to Maine...as well as as out to the Pacific NW along the Big Sky area, understand my personal experience is simply rec, pulling single cars, boats, lawn trailers etc. Whats the 3 things one can do to achieve that but also not fall to a large numbers driven company

If you plan to run in the northwest US or Canada you will need 4WD and chains. I have never chained up my truck even when pulling a trailer.

    1. Get your CDL class A.
    2. Get the right vehicle to pull any RV.
    3. Send me a PM with your phone number to hear the rest of the story.

Yeah.but thats not every 3 days and if u avg in all the waiting on next loads and days off that 3 day avg means squat..take the 522 per 3 days and avg it out to 365 days in the year and that 174 drops big time.

Bigfoot, how are things going for you? I see you're not too far from me - well, relatively speaking. Have you been getting any back hauls? Still with the same company?
