Hello My Boyfriend and I are looking into relocating to Texas from West Virginia. He has been in the oilfield for several years as a trucker driver and equipment operator. He has experience in multiple different trucks and equipment. He is on salary currently at 114,00.00 yearly no benefits. Is the job market in Texas comparable to this? If so, what companies would you recommend. In advice I would like to thank you for the information.

Find out which oil companies are down there, go to their web sites, see if they are hiring and how much they are offering. I have found that asking this type of question on here will have you more confused than informed. Kinda like asking 5 fishermen how big their fish were.?

    Good luck

Works in the oilfield for a private owned company in West Virginia. Driving water bottles which are used as vac truck to haul waste, flat bed, roll offs, and winch trucks. He hauls multiple different supplies and waste.

I don't know the cost of living where you are now, but that is a nice income. I think you would have a difficult time matching that level here. For example: run legal 70 per wk - 40 x 25 = 1000, add over time 30 x 37.50 = 1125, wk = 2125 x 52 wks = 110,500. I have noticed a decline in offered wages, so 25 for an experienced driver might be possible, not guaranteed. Good luck in all your adventures.

Here in corpus christi there are two companies where you could possibly make that kind of money. Liberty crude hauling, and Tiga Logistics... look them up and dont forget to tell me thank you....

I know four guys at tiga and five at liberty. I have seen their pay checks no lie....3 out of the four at tiga hit over the six figure mark....unless they produced fake check stubs and lied to me
