Just an update. Almost 3 months in with Britton. Things are still going pretty good. They have always paid what they said they would, as far as miles, cpm, tarp and drop pay, etc. I get home more than i have for any company i have worked for. Running about 2600 miles per week. All the equipment is well maintained. No huge issues. But there are a couple things I'd like changed. Like 62 mph. And they should chisel the Volvo Enhanced Cruise Control Radar out of this truck. It is worse than the Eaton Vorad Radar system. But all in all, if them are my worse 2 complaints, then I think I am pretty well off for now.

MrEd get used to driving at 62 because that is the Bison speed limit. Vorad is almost gone, but On Guard is in. Oh how I hate that system. If you get cut off, the truck will slam the brakes on without you doing anything, and all that beeping in heavy traffic will make ya nuts.

Mr Ed, Just placed an application with Britton Transport (Flatbed). One of their recruiters, Senta, found my resume on Hero2Hire. I live in NC and am also in the NC National Guard. They have promised that they can be here for drill given notice, which is not a problem since I have the schedule for the whole year. Sounds like they are a good company to work for I appreciate your comments. Keep up the updates please. I will let you know how it goes. Schneider and Swift have also offered me positions, so let the best team win.

Hi Lost Nav. Are you going to be in van or flatbed? I am still here, still pretty happy as well. Senta is also the safety director. Sharon, who was mentioned in some previous posts is no longer with the company. Im not really up on what goes on in the van side. I've only been to Grand Forks a handful of times in my 2+ years here. Flatbed office is in Sioux Falls, SD. And a lot of our freight is around there. A lot of it does go down toward where you live too. So I don't see you getting home to be a problem. Wish you luck getting in here. I think you'll like it pretty well.

    Lost Navigator Thanks this.

I went back and reread your post. Guess I need to check my glasses. You even had ( ) around the answer to my question about you being in flats or vans.

Bluebird36, I report to Britton on the 4th of March. Since I have been away from the industry for awhile I may ride with a trainer for a week or two. It will depend on how I feel at the orientation. I will keep you all posted. Thank you for checking in.

Just found this thread, I live about 1/2 mile from the Britton office. I hear good things about this place. If I ever went back to being a company driver they would be top of my list.

MrEd, thanks for the good info.
