Orientation 02/17/14

I'm on my last week at the local job, getting ready to head to New Kingstown Sunday. Any one else going then?

 

Day 1 is in the books. I almost had an issue with my physical because I forgot a work related issue from a job 4 years ago. So, I had to go back to the doc to get it straightened out. As far as I know, I'm still in the game, lol. I guess we'll see after tomorrow.

Day 2 down. I found out today I have to do the DDC Thursday. Kinda sucks, but not a big deal. And I got my trainer assignment for the next 1-3 weeks. I'm hoping he releases me after 1 week so I can get rolling on my own lol. It's also a pain being less than a month shy of my 1 year experience and have to go with a trainer in the first place. But, I'm really just happy to eventually start making some good money now, lol.

Day 3 is in the books, and I'm officially hired! It was, of course, more classroom; paperwork, tests on HazMat, QC and Operations. The 2 women in the class got done today and in their trucks. The last 4 of us will be done tomorrow after the defensive driving course (DDC). 2 of which got their trucks as well since they too had experience.

I wont be going out with my trainer until Friday now, because he is on a run delivering in VA tomorrow night. So, after tomorrow, I'll be staying in the hotel for another night.
