Good information, thanks. I have seen how flimsy travel trailers are and have replaced windows in a few. I think that the windows are far stronger than the RV, however most RVs are very softly suspended and kinda use that wimpy structure to their advantage. They are designed with soft construction and flexible materials to handle the vibes at a light weight. I always assumed that dry vans and reefers used a rigid deck so that the walls could flex, but maybe I'm wrong in my assumption.
I have also noticed that even the best RVs are engineered to withstand the typical RV use: three weekends a year on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor day. RVs are junk these days, which is my reasoning for choosing a trailer that is designed for a million miles of use.
I also thought about altering/reconfiguring the reefer unit as an A/C, but I doubt that it would be an option. Maybe keep the diesel power and replace all the refrigeration parts with a generator and some batteries.
Which trailer brand/style for conversion
