I saw that truck too. By the way you can lease on a truck that is any age. But the catch is if it is older the three years of age you would have to get your own plates and authority. They call that division the expedited division. But if you got the truck on thru a lease such as ACE lease then you can run under their authority as long as you wish. By the way if you use your own authority you get 83% pulling their trailer. If you use your own trailer it is 93%. and yes they will sell you a trailer to if you wish to buy one. LOL

Yup... all of this is true - but its still not Prime's truck. The article said it was registered to New Prime - has to be a recent purchase, because a Century that old would have been turned-in by Prime. Any truck that is leased onto Prime that isn't in the fleet will have a registration in the name of the owner... not "New Prime."

Yes that is true. You will be a true owner operator when you do that. LOL
But it is actually a good deal. Especially if the truck is not too heavy so you can run as hard as the lease trucks.

Just wondering, did you find a good starting company in Idaho. I'd really like to find a good trucking company for a beginner from anywhere in the Idaho area. Incidentally, Prime doesn't hire from Idaho, right. Can't find much info from the Prime Inc. website.
    Thanks in advance.

Cudacious hasn't posted in 2 years... Florida is the only state that Prime doesn't always hire from IIRC.

I was looking into Prime Inc in the tanker side of the house but I was wondering about the 40,000 miles. Is that team miles or solo before you can get into your own rig. If that's the case that's 13.5 weeks of OTR before I can even get into a truck or get a paycheck bigger then 600 dollars. Could anyone help me out with this?

It's team miles probably take around 8 weeks to get to upgrade class.

Can i get some clarification on independent contractor percentage of revenue from you guys please? Lease %? o/o's % ? o/o's with their own auth % ? Do you get access to the load board if you have your own auth? Im aware that some of my questions were just discussed but i was at success asking theses questions last week. I spoke with a woman whos name was something like marcy or mary who sat across from the receptionist. The answers she gave me were lease 72%, o/o with no auth 72%, o/o with auth 76%. Now im confused after hearing 83% with auth.

Your best bet is to call Success Leasing, and talk to them about it... they deal with all of the leasing issues and truck assignments. 800.491.1240
