Yes I have a 05 International 9400I with a C13 accert with twin stack exhaust and was wanting to replace with a new system. My question is which would be the best for a deep exhaust tone and performance , straight pipe my existing system or performance exhaust from Pittsburg power or similar performance Donaldson system?
Straight pipe vs performance exhaust?

I bought the Pittsburgh Power mufflers a couple of years ago, they're not loud but definitely deeper than stock Donaldsons. They are reasonably priced too, if I remember correctly they were less money than stock replacements.
I would not go with strait pipes as you will be turned around at some states port of entry, namely Colorado. -
straits get old buy the end of a long day go with the muffler

If you want performance/fuel economy, go with a single stack behind the cab with a PP free flow muffler. Might be illegal in some states if you use engine brakes with straight pipes in small towns.

The larger the pipes the deeper the tone, I loved the tone of the 379 with a C15 I drove that had a single 36 inch straight through open chamber muffler under neath with 8 inch straights

Thanks for all the recommendations

I would look into the walker mega flow or the donaldson equivalent which is what I believe PP sells marked up on price.

I run 6 inch straights on my 379 with a c15 hope you don't like having windows rolled down
Caterpillar Cowboy Thanks this. -
Walker Megaflows are galvanized dipped with a 4 year warranty and cost around $125 at most truck parts houses. They will increase fuel mileage around 3/10ths mpg over stock OEM mufflers.
I have used them on my truck for over 10 years.
