that's a pretty sweet spot and I-95 has always been a friendly place for me as far as fuel consumption goes.....I always seem to do better there. Lot's of DC's and whatnot on I-95.....that's a real good place to be

If you manage your time correctly and don't go home to.... much you should do well there! A lot of freight in that area and good paying loads too.

Can't wait until summer so I can go back over there again and grab some of those nice paying loads from all ya East Coasters!:yes2557:

Made my delivery in Casa Grande AZ. Now grabbing a very cheap load to southern Cal to P/U a high paying load from Cali back to Phoenix. Also going to pick up the wife and go visit some family in AZ. Plus these 2 short runs (tho one is very cheap and only covers the fuel) will help bring in additional revenue for this week and a decent check to the house, get to see my lady and running in warm weather. Not bad.. beats traveling across the I-80 this time of year or some other snow bound place.

    Truck it on!

PS.. Took the cheap load because the other choice was to deadhead to grab a load that I can get completed for this weeks pay. At the least this covers the fuel and still bring in ok money when you average the 2 together. All total these 2 short loads will bring little over $900 to the truck for about 13 hours of running. Kinda sucks but gets the job done.:biggrin_25525:

Dropped the wife off back home. We had a good time visiting with family in AZ after delivering the load from Cali. Then grabbed a 3 part pick up load going to Washington. Picked up first part out of Phoenix then heading to Compton CA. and Carson CA. then on up to Washington Seattle area. Should be interesting. It's decent paying load and will end up weighing about 25,000 LBs.

While in 80 degree Phoenix discovered my AC isn't working properly. Think it needs a recharge. Not sure how often these need a recharge but the Truck is a 2013 didn't think the AC would need to be recharged already only being a year old. Might have a small leak somewhere?? Will have to check that out next chance I get.

I wish my truck could run in Cali. It would be nice to run out there in the summer. I never been to Cali driving a truck. The furthest west I been to is TX.

I hear ya, but I love my truck... its paid for. Not having a truck payment is a big plus running choice. But, my truck is drinking oil so im gonna need an overhaul soon. I usually stay out 10 days then go home for 4. With a truck payment I couldn't do that. Also, I am in the military and that plays a big part of owning a truck.

Makes sense.. Rather have a truck paid for than running in Cali.. Would be nice to have both but what the hell.. Having truck paid for is pretty nice deal!

    rickybobby Thanks this.
