Suicide knobs

I do have one sitting in the shop that I was thinking of putting on my boat for when I am out trolling and zigzagging.

 

drivers wear gloves with no fingers because they like to see their girlfriend in shorts!!!!!!

I said I would give an update...I talked to my Dad yesterday and he started driving back in the late 50's he said yes they were and are illegal, Mom said it was a good way to get your hand broke, Daddy said and I remeber that the steering wheels were big (seems they were bigger than today but I was a kid back then) BUT there was no power steering in the trucks, I remember our old grain trucks being that way, heck my first car was that way, he said that it made turning easier. But we know that.

 

That made me laugh out loud !!!

 

They are illegal!!!!

 

Proof please? I see them all the time. If they're illegal, no one's enforcing it.

 

A lot of the offshore boats around here use them it makes it a lot easier to turn real fast into a big wave when need be.

 

None of the Fast offshore powerboats do....
Or those who have have ever run any fast then IMO...
I have never even seen a pic of one having...

not to be a kill joy, but they are illegal according to dot regs. In addtion, if you are trying to turn a trailer over, they will help a great deal.

 

on a boat, you're never going to hit a pothole that makes the steering jerk.

and if you don't have power steering, you can still do a pretty good number on your wrist even without a knob.
