Parked Here for the Night

Petro Elroy, AZ heading to our plant in Tolleson to pick up a load going to the LA area. Think I'll take my 8 here since I wasted time in line for a truck wash and washout.

 

Fought my way through three backups up 81 in Pennsylvania to crash here at the Love's in Binghamton, NY.

 

So Joe...You like running the West Coast better than the East Coast yet?....

 

Parked at receiver still waiting for a door in Azusa, CA think that's how you spell it. Appointment's not till 13:30 and guess they go by it. Been here since 4:30 this morning. Next load has a pick up from 2-6am Friday morning. Last time I picked up there It was closer to 6. Suppose to be going to Salt lake city for Sunday delivery, but again had that pre plan last time and ended up going to Denver. I have a Preplan out of Utah if it does go there heading back to the Bronx. Hopefully it will stay a 1 stop delivery. Delivers Thursday. Of course I'm going to try to get it off Wednesday. Guess I'll count some more sheep. Beep beep we back quiet.

 

Stopped in Syracuse, NY at the Pilot. The load I was supposed to pick up in Camden, NY canceled and I didn't hear about it until I called the broker to get the pick up information. This load was my load home since I have to be back home by Monday. They were going to dispatch me on a load from Lock Haven, PA to Florence, KY instead until they realized I was in Syracuse heading to Camden like I was told earlier this morning. This is why I don't like getting dispatched by someone other than my fleet dispatcher. Now I've been told to sit here until further notice. It amazes me sometimes how little communication takes place across a small office.

 

150 miles away from delivery (Rocklin, CA)... Won't be picking up until Saturday (Rocklin, CA) ... In between we will be HOME!

 

Got a load out of Syracuse to Warsaw Indiana. That probably gets me a Friday pickup at pro trans in Indianapolis back home.

 

Hah, I was in there last night for a nap. Met up with a former coworker and hung out for a bit. That's my back yard, so I only fuel there normally, but my neighbors gripe about me pulling my tractor in or out of the driveway later than 9pm.

 

Parked i80 Clarion, PA walmart for a much needed 10 hour break. Spent most of my day in Pittsburgh though.

 

Warrendale PA. Off to Chicago in the morning.
