Every time you mention Corn Flakes you must accompany it by saying "may it rest in peace" :(

Pic have to disagree cool35. I work with one guy from CF on the outbound and one guy in my hub I run. They say it's nothing like CF. My TM is only 8 years older than me, he's normally fairly decent though, very big on rest which is a plus. One of our outbound supervisors is a real witch and she's only been there a month no experience in this field... The other one who's an ex YRC supervisor, can get fussy but normally if you are doing the right thing she doesn't bother you. Her and I share old stories at times. our city dispatcher who covers outbound sometimes is the best guy there though, he's worked the dock, driven etc and actually has a sense of humor.

I've heard I work at one of the better UPSF yards. A few I know of which I won't mention are real hard@&$s. My run was cancelled tonight and there was no extra board work... Oh well. But they did give me 8 hours, after the outbound I took my break then I told then inbound guy who I'm also cool with I got 2.5 till my 8, so he had me do some odd-jobs for that time.

Hope it it picks up again, I got my own place again as of March 1st. Although my dad's giving me a steal on the rent.

Yeah I guess I can't say it's like CF, may it RIP, they were in a league of their own. We were downright spoiled there! Even YRC was almost that good until 2007. Reddaway is all right but the pay isn't there. I still make good money, actually really good money but I just work longer for it. I would like tho have the pension though and really miss being a member of the Master Freight Agreement. I guess all good things come to an end. "Corn Flake" .

Hope it picks back up for you ACH hasn't really slowed down too much for me this year and has already picked back up. Atleast you're renting from your dad, can't go wrong there.

It will probably take a few decades for the rest of the industry to catch up with CF's payscale. Although they might just keep it at 30 cpm for traditional purposes.

Man I wish UPSF would vote the master freight in... I bet they are paying the teamsters off to not recommend it

I don't even remember what Corn Flakes pay scale was? I think I was making 47 cpm but I don't remember the hourly, maybe 22 an hour and that was in 1999!!! Had a killer pension and benefits too! Remember the swinging bunks? I ran teams there and some of the old timers I would run with made swinging bunks in the sleeper. Those were good times. As soon as CF, Watkins, Overnight and Motor Cargo went down or got bought out it was all over. Out on the west coast anyway. We used to have Viking Freight and they were really good too. Trucking industry has been downhill since, according to many others long before that.

I wish we were all in the Master Freight Agreement. I fear those days are long gone.

No work last night , currently calling dispatch to see if theres anything right now. I hate running during the day but the bills don't pay themselves... Plus the gf is working today and all my friends have become like old people and don't want to hang
