not a lot of money to be made here. i drive for them and it seems their freight rates a a little low, they pay 24%.
all new drivers have to use elogs.
health insurance is paid for by the company but lacks on coverage.
they don't cut trucks back as bad as others do,they set them at 70 mph.
they are running a lot of the dd15 475 hp engine with just a 10 speed.3 axle trks are geared at 3:55 and the 4 axle at 3:73.
they will get you home on weekends 99% of the time and you won't have to leave until mon morng, drivers take truck home.

I saw they hire owner operators. Any view on job from an owner operator's perspective. Thinking about leaving the company I am with and signing on with them. I like the home time they offer, as long as I can make enough during the week to afford to go home for the weekend. Thanks in advance for any replies..

Question:(not trying to be a prick or anything, but it will probably come off that way) If you're an owner operator, why can't you go home when you want to go home?

lol...good question. I can go home when I want to but the particular travel lanes that I run in with the company I'm currently leased to, normally takes me about 14 days or so to work my way back home. I could travel in other lanes and get home sooner but the money is not there compared to the other lanes. I saw that Yarbrough has main travel lanes that are more regional and closer to my home so that is why I was inquiring with them. I wanted to talk to some owner operators that are currently there, compare notes and see if it would be worth the move. If I could make the same or close to the same money and be home more often.....then who wouldn't?

Sounds like your travel agent is hiding freight from you. That ain't cool.
