Last time I scheduled home time and started to get teeny little runs I talked to my DM to let him know that my home time request wasn't written in stone, I could be flexible about the date I arrived home. That opened up a couple of longer runs and I arrived home one day later than my original request.

Home in AL? Shouldn't be a problem.

The pay may suck for greenhorns the first year, but the sheer number of experienced drivers staying with Swift 5+ years really says something.

Cloverdale, IN. Came off the road just in time. Have 43k in the box and it is like I am mt. Parked and the storm is hitting now. Command came through with a nice r/t load today after Swift was sending crap. Just when finalizing this one, planners sent me a 3 stop load to upper NY. Sears, and then back it up with one going to GA that I was going to t-call in Columbus. All of 1k miles. Command gave me one from Marysville to Huntsville, TX. Reload in Houston and del in Zanesville, 30 miles from my house on Monday. A nice 2200 miles. Love it when a plan comes together. Also pays .03/mi over Swift rate.

Near Denver, Golden, CO at the TA West.
I have about 3 miles to my final for a 0800 live unload in the morning.

I wasn't sure if I could make it on time.
50+ wind gusts along I-25 down from Casper, WY and through Cheyenne. But they were at an angle coming from behind me, so I kept my speed up and wasn't tossed around that much.
This load is only 8,000 pounds, so I was concerned being so light.
There were only a couple spots that I really felt the wind, and those weren't that bad.

I was actually thrown around more yesterday going the same route in the opposite direction, with 43k (very low) in the box. Suddenly, within seconds, the wind shifted from left to right and I was blown half way out of my lane. Thankfully, no one was next to me.

these loads they said will be mostly drop n hooks with occassional live loads/unloads. the load that i took to lancaster said i had to be there by 1600 tomorrow but they said i can get there sooner if i wanted, but not a second later.stores have as much as 3 trucks( depending on how busy) delivering with delivery times of 1600,1800,&2000. the trip will start and end in porterville dc but will have a backhaul or other stores. so far i did 2 stops and will do the 3rd stop on this trip in the morning. i have to call their dispatch at every stop when i'm ready to leave and they'll say what to do next. also, have to send in a mac 21 everystop that goes to dm in willows term. i dont do any other macs than that. they'll run you out of hours if you want to work that hard. havent talked to dm about payscale yet. will be abit hectic till i learn the walmart pocedures

funny wolfy...i had same problem with those security girls at mira loma term. only diffrance was i had the walmart trailer when i went in to get fuel. and i went rite out after fueling. lady said wheres my card for the empty. i said the other girl didnt say anything when i broughtr it in the first time lol. antways, she held up the line and called the walmart guy over and asked if it was ok for me to take it. i told him that i didnt get trailer from here and if he had a problem. he can call porterville dispatch and ask them. i gave him my driver code that walmart gave me and he said no bother, just open to see if it was mt and let mew thru lol
