Why u trying to b sneaky by changing the font color? Bet most of the problems lie with the driver not doing a proper pretrip. I know when I have somthing wrong maintenance fixes it for me.

Sounds like a good planSwamprat55 Thanks this.

I looked at the link you supplied. I'm not trying to defend Schneider in anyway, but going through the maintenance violations it appears, to me, to stupid stuff caused primarily by driver laziness. It shows the importance of drivers performing pre/post inspections on a regular basis to protect the SMS scores carrier and themselves. Maintenance can't fix what they don't know about.
Moving Forward and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
#### u can have a chaffed airline under the trailer and that will fail inspection.
Swamprat55 Thanks this. -
moosc- That wasn't an attempt to be "sneaky," but I simply put that line in bold to emphasize a large problem... and in case you don't realize it, almost 6,000 maintenance violations alone by one company within two years is indeed a BIG problem! It might be wise for HQ to do some driver training seminars about how to do a complete DVIR, but this it's very possible there are other issues that need to be addressed at SNI.Swamprat55 Thanks this.

Drivers need to stop being lazy and get stuff fixed.Moving Forward, moosc and Swamprat55 Thank this.

I don't think drivers are lazy when it comes to fixing things. They don't want to sit all day at the terminals.
-
Wouldn't a driver prefer to sit waiting for a problem to be fixed rather than taking a chance with a defective vehicle that could possibly take their life or someone else's?
Moving Forward Thanks this. -
And right there you pinpointed the problem. They have put making money above the safety of the equipment they are operating. Wrong attitude to have in this business. Those are the kinds of drivers we don't need on the roads.Swamprat55 and Moving Forward Thank this.

So let's see 6000 violations in 2 years. Schneider has roughly 60,000 plus pieces of cmv on the road. Hmm looking at that figure it doesn't seem high at all. You can come over here and hate on Schneider all you want. But in reality they are one of safest on the road. As I mentioned before u can fail inspection for some of the dumbest items. Marker light out, chafed Airlines, minor airleak for improper sealed glad hand. If u had a problem with there equipment I wouldn't b here. Any time I had a defect it got fixed. If a piece of equipment has a issue and u you either leave or enter a oc they will make you go to service. My last company there safety was a joke worse score u could have was 100 there's was 95 not cool. I left them and have been at Schneider 3 seasons.
Swamprat55 Thanks this.
