I have nothing against this policy, but the people that pass and enforce the laws and take the peepee should be held to the same standard. As anyone who have ever read any of my posts about this subject know, I think the marijuana test should test for under the influence, not have you done it in the past 45 days.

I agree but other than a field sobriety test how would they test for "under the influence"?

Sounds like your weekends are interesting.

Many might have missed it when it was on.Hitman Thanks this. -
Don't do drugs or drink on the road. That'll take care of it. Nothing to worry about.

Don't smoke at all, not for thirteen years since before I got my CDL. Been in a bad mood for thirteen years and I think it might be connected. To H2O, that was exactly the point I was making, I've heard rumors for years that they have developed a test that would determine whether it was used in past twelve hours, I'm sure we will never find out about it. At least they haven't taken my beers yet, without some steamed crabs and shrimp and cold beer I'm turning in the keys and turning to a life of crime. I think Adam the Gigalo has a nice ring to it.

Agreed, people that don't smoke have nothing to fear. As far as liquor goes.....my policy has always been plus 12 hours plus a SSS after I put the last drink down before I report for duty REGARDLESS OF WHO'S CALLING, RUNNING OUT, IN A BIND ETC.
It's rock solid and in stone and I will not compromise ( the policy ) for anybody....much to the dismay of a few motor carriers over the years. Policy has served me well throughout my tanker career. ( But that's me )
