Hello people of the great, big internet!
I just found this forum. Lots of valuable information!
So. I want to get my class a cdl. But..
I am a female, late 20s, a foreigner (from europe), have only lived in the US for 4 years. Bad odds?
I know very little about trucking in the US vs. northern europe. I'm sure there are major differences, but I don't even know where to start and what to ask.
Trying to read up on this.
Was hoping to find people who wants to answer my endless stupid questions.
The only experience I have is 1 year on the road in the _passenger seat_, and I wrote for a trucking magazine. In Europe.
Noob wannabe trucker

Id say you odds are no different than anybody elses. Take your written tests and pass your road test.

Attend a good 160 hr. CDL school, either a private CDL school or community college CDL school.
If you can't afford that route, then try Millis Transfer or FFE for trucking company sponsored training in Texas. Millis Transfer would be my first choice.d o g Thanks this. -
Thanks!!

I've looked into Mills Transfer now, and that looks pretty good!d o g Thanks this.
