I check my pressures frequently and that tire was at 90 psi. We keep our tires at 100 psi so it wasn't terribly low. After examining the carcass i noticed my tire had picked up a nail. I guess the hotter temps as I got closer to El Paso let the air leak out faster causing the tire run low then flat, finally melting as I exited the interstate.
    Yep. She's my payback lol.

Cooking dinner in the consig's parking lot in Frankfort, KY (Italian sausage and manicotti in the old Burton lunchbox oven - tasty, though). Won't even consider letting me bump the dock til 2AM. I got here at 6PM. Least they let me stay til time to U/L.

Makes my blowing a single drive tire 3/4 of a mile from my delivery yesterday not seem so bad, lol.

It was my first blown steer tire... And the truck is still upright!! Only other tire for me was a SS on a trailer... Those steel belts wrapped around the axle and the service guy (and Hubby) had an awful time getting it unwrapped!

I never had that wonderful experience on a truck. I'm not missing it though. I did blow one between 95 and 100 on a patrol car one time though. . .Needed a crowbar to pry the seat out of my rear end. . .:biggrin_2551:
