Coquihalla:Highway Through Hell - Avalanche Beater

Wow! Just missed a massive Class 4 Avalanche by about 1 hour! The worst I have seen the Coquihalla Summit to the Smasher in my 3 winters of driving truck. Even the officials are saying it's the worst it's been since the highway was completed in 1986.

When I'm an old man I get to annoy young people by telling them I was there in the winter of' '14.

I don't usually make videos this long so grab some popcorn and a soda and enjoy.

Ended up with a hole in my main air line. It was a holiday when I got into Edmonton, couldn't get the part until the next day. Then the mechanic broke a fitting and dumped my coolant on the floor. We're still wrangling on price. Was in their shop for about 36 hrs. Then the weather caused delays and a 2 day rounder turned into 5.

That's trucking sometimes! :=)
