Well, bad news. Called and talked to Raychel and she didn't even remember me sending the rest of my history in to her. She looks me up and said I'm denied, but wouldn't give me a reason. So, I don't know if the director has actually seen the updated info or not. I called and asked for him and had to leave him a message. No reply back yet. I don't know much else to do other than keep trying to talk to him and make sure he has seen what he needs to. I was told his name is Mike. Is that Mike Millis or a different Mike? If anybody knows or knows what else I can do, please let me know.

I understand what your saying and maybe its my fault. However, they could have said so rather than have me sent them that. How many times does a driver get approved and choose not to go somewhere only to keep getting phone calls, emails, or something in the mail. I just kinda believe based on how she sounded on the phone that Mike hasn't seen the rest of it. I believe it still sat on her desk since friday afternoon and she forgot till I called and reminded her of our conversation, because she said I never sent her the rest of the work history. It was sitting right there.

By the way, the 1st time I didn't have the finances to go to Millis and had no idea about how their program worked before I applied. The second They called me 2 or 3 months later seeing if I was still interested. I had to wait on tax return and had some family issues to deal with. I also had a job come my way that got me off 3rd shift and more money. I took it and found deception.

So now that I think about it. I believe its only been once and they kinda went with the time span of how long you have with the approval before getting reapproved. Heck, I would even pay a larger part of the tuition to show how serious I am.

Just thought I would make mention the results. I did get to speak to Mike today and he did see the additional information about my work history. I assume it was verified, however, I would have heard about it from my boss if so. Anyway, decision is still the same. Mike told me I could be approved later, just that other applicants looked better with their work history. Thats my fault, not theirs. I should have made a better choice a year ago. If hein sight was 20/20. Anyway not gonna cry over spilt milk. My driving record will be better by April and I will probably have chances elsewhere, unless Millis changes their mind in between. Oh well, maybe next time. A friend of mine works for Super Service and we have been talking. Probably gonna try them to get some experience in here soon.

So I heard a rumor, then verified it, about something that was sent to drivers this week.

Millis has asked for drivers to volunteer to have their trucks turned down to 61 MPH in exchange for a half a cent increase in pay. Now I know MILLIS thinks their drivers can't do math. I know this because they are trying to collect $2800 from me for training after working for them for a year and eight months. Yup, you read that right, after almost two years they think I owe them. My numbers add up quite differently and I have actually over paid, but that is another matter.

Back to the current issue, doing the math, even with the increase in pay, they are basically asking their drivers to take the equivalent of roughly a dollar decrease in pay per hour. Basic math can show you this.

On top of the decrease in pay, this includes eliminating 360 miles or more per week that could keep you from hitting the mileage performance bonuses, reducing your pay even more. This number is just for regional guys working Monday through Friday. OTR guys are hit even more.

I'm curious what your thoughts are...

My thoughts on that is that Millis is attempting to slip in another policy change that will become a standard. If they can get enough volunteers to agree to this change, then within a couple of years or less it will become policy. It is any business's right to implement whichever policies they believe will make them the most profit over time, but this one is a deal breaker for me. If it becomes policy and they begin turning trucks down to 61, I'll pay off my loan and walk, as much as I like Millis, there are two issues that will cause me to leave. Turning the trucks down to 61 and forced routing/fuel stops.

Another rumor, unverified, is that 45 drivers quit after that message was sent out.

I left about the same time the cameras were being installed although I didn't leave because of the cameras. We lost a lot of drivers over that too.
