The question I have is. This is in a 2007 w900l kenworth, When we installed the PTO for the blower install we detoured the exhaust to one muffler to make room for the PTO. Will this cause or effect the fuel mileage to go to crap? Truck specs are 475hp 13spd trans, 334 rears. Pull a pneumatic trailer in the oil field. Grossing 80,000 lbs plus most the time.
Thanks for all input

Good luck with mpg. It will fall rapidly. When I bought my t600 with mbn c-15 it was 5.49 mpg as of 2011. Right now it is 5.19 mpg. It also has pto blower, hauling the same gross weight like yours, and drive in to natural gas wells mountains of PA. Pulls excellent in hills/mountains with eaton 3.70 rear, eaton 10 sp manual, and 500 hp 1850lb/ft. Yours has 18 sp and 3.36 rears, I think you will have better mpg than mine for now on.

The twin turbos kills a lot of exhaust sound, so running straight pipes isn't as much of an issue with noise as the older trucks were. They still have a fairly noisy jake on straight pipes though.
I've got a customer in Texas with a modified MBN that does this type of work that is getting great fuel mileage pulling a pneumatic trailer, but he does have an APU for his waiting to unload at the well head.mark2842 Thanks this. -

I'm sure you have heard that in ozz the NXS in the new cat trucks are coming out with twin dpf, that has to choke them up, there are a few getting around here now but I haven't realy heard any fuel economy feedback about them.
They are more of a catalytic muffler than dpf I believe as there is no fuel dose to burn,
Looking into my crystal ball I see people removing them in the future.😜
