I read day befor yesterday that over 6000 o/o and small companies where going out of buisness, this is the part i can't remember if they said a day or a week, would not doubt a day though.. if it was a day thats 125 per 48 states, that number is a number I can believe..

Well my man I as everybody else said I am sorry to hear about you going under.. Anybody who comes in here and tell you that you don't know how to run a buisness should be ashamed of themselves..

Good luck and keep your chin up, things will work out..

I don't know who you would contact. But, there is a terminal being finished in Memphis right now. That is projected to move 1 million containers annually when completed. They're in operation now. But, they still have a way to go before completion of the entire site.

It's gonna be huge. I'm not sure what the rates are. But, I spoke with an O/O that was getting $2.50 a mile plus FSC.

Bame, sorry to hear of your luck. I know this doesn't help you now but, some of us co. drivers do care. I know I need to work hard to be valuable to my employer. My goal is always to be worth more to them than I cost them. Not that I want to be underpaid, just when they ask if they are getting their money's worth, they don't hesitate. I'm sorry that you ran into a group, or at least some, drivers who don't understand this. Maybe it comes to me because I have been on the other side, and paid people. Truly, I wish you the best.

Thank you all for your kind words... I tried to get extra money to roll on, but banks are just not loaning money now, specially to the trucking industry...

I gues I'll have to lease out the truck to ensure that the company bills get paid... Any suggestions?

Makes alot of sense. If you had plenty of money, why would you need the loan?

Banks are part of the problem the country is in...

They don't lend to business, they only lend to business that need no money... go figure!! The rich get richer...

They did lend to everyone with a pulse when it came to homes... Someone does not undesrtand how this country moves... Homes are liabilities, business are always assets... Not hard to see on what bucket the money should go... but they seem to have a backwards logic...

Big banks and Insurance companies are a mafia serving the needs of the mulimillion dollar coorporation...

If a company is bleeding money, why would anyone throw more money into the fire. Sad truth, but that's how it works. Also, it wasn't traditional banks that were making those loans to people. It was the mortgage industry and the mortgage brokers that used creative lending practices to get people qualified. However, people should have had sense enough to know what the hell they were doing when they signed their life away.
