Decent company..some people ehhh!!!!!!

I'm sorry if you don't like it when we don't sugar coat the truth for you, but in this industry there is very little room for mistakes, we put other people's life at stake almost every working minute, lots of people's lives. we can't claim ignorance as an excuse, good luck with that in court.

 

Last time I checked, Big truck truck drivers are still human beings.
As such, human Big truck truck drivers will make mistakes.
In-cab cameras record those mistakes. It doesn't take
much stretching of the imagination to figure out that the
Big truck truckin' companies aren't installing those cameras
to protect their drivers, but rather to cover the company's
buttox.

How 'bout installing in-office cameras to record any
mis-information provided to a driver that put a driver in
a position to make mistakes in the first place? I bet that'd
go over like a fart in a diving bell.

Let's see an' hear dispatchers intimidating newBee drivers to
git-er-dun, --- or else.

Let's see an' hear dispatchers ignoring a driver who reports
a lack of available hours to meet an impossible schedule.

Let's see an' hear a dispatcher tell a driver to keep runnin'
when weather conditions become dangerous, and common sense
tells a safety-minded driver that for them to continue drivin'
isn't a wise decision.

Let's see an' hear a dispatcher promise a driver that they'll route
'em through their home-20 for some needed rest, only to send 'em
in the opposite direction,
again.

Let's gather all the information from all parties
involved in what led up to an incident. Would the Big truck truckin'
companies be willing to go to that extreme, ..... you know, to
protect their Big truck truck drivers' career? Even if it means
that the Big truck truckin' company is found to be at fault, or
contributed in any way to what led up to an incident?

In this day and age with the bottom feeder training companies
that depend on at least a 225% turn over rate to keep their
doors open, --- concerned that newBees just might elect
to remain with the company, thereby reducing a need to keep
replacing disgruntled drivers with more students (at a handsome
profit), and declaring a severe shortage of qualified drivers,
prompting the government to contribute a few thousand dollars
to re-train each of those folks who lost their non-truckin' related jobs,
only to be fired soon after graduation to make room for more
profit derived from training instead of movin' freight, ---
cheaper than a seasoned Big truck truck driver with enough
real experience to know when, and why, to question any instructions
that a professional Big truck truck driver knows to
be contrary to the safe operation of a Big truck, without
fear of bein' black-listed by some desk driver, and subjected to
every dawg load that's available as pay-back for their concern for safety.

Those who prefer to think in-cab cameras pointed toward the
driver is a safety measure, should be fired on the spot for
day dreamin', and probably asleep at the wheel, dreamin' about
thangs that would never happen. Content in the thought that even
if those thangs did become reality, it wouldn't affect them.
Sweet dreams, .......... dream on beautiful dreamer.
Maybe they'll name a robot driver after y'all.
Sort of a tribute to a dying breed.

I worked at JBS when I was a newbie it wasn't too bad but I knew once I had my experience I would move on to better oppurtunities I don't understand why a seasoned driver would go to a starter company. I can say im happy I picked JBS to start my career. oh the health insurance was ok but I pay less now for the same or better coverage.

 

right to work has to do with labor unions. and in Colorado you have to join the union. so google the right to work states and you will see that Colorado is NOT a right to work state.

If only in-truck cameras were enough to keep drivers from tossing their piss bombs out the window.

 

Now, there's an interesting thought I could agree with.

 

I cant believe how many of you are fine with intrusion. Point the friggin cameras out (360 is fine w/ me) and be done with it. My record of safe and compliant operation speaks for itself, and the minute its pointed inward is the day I turn in the keys.

 

Well a safe and compliant driver has nothing to worry about and even less to explain when somebody does something stupid in front of you. There's a bunch of companies already doing this, and like Elogs it will probably be the norm soon. So you might want to save up for your own truck, because I personally don't think it's a bad thing. A safe and compliant driver hasn't seen the red recording and saving light come on since he had it except for as Army guy says when it's rebooting at 3 am. The dash cam didn't stop this guy. Sadly there is a family who lost a son because of it.
