I can't say I ever get bored doing local delivery. You develop a good relationship with the folks you see every day. Not every driver can walk into a place and be welcome at the coffeepot. There were even a couple of places where I liked to go up to the front office and flirt with the girls, and ended up marrying one. It's kind of nice knowing that if I forget my lunch she'll have it waiting for me.

Y2K, I love that big Chevy. I always feel well dressed when I'm wearing my Bowtie.

Nice collection, so many cars and trucks I had back in the day I wish I'd of kept.
One of my favorites I don't even have a picture of,not only did I have a '67 Impala but I also had a sweet one owner '68 fastback with a vinyl roof and deluxe interior and a 300hp 327/turbo 400.
The nicest riding car I've ever driven and I've owned a Corvette and a couple of Cadillacs.

Actually she's a GMC but who's counting lol.
It does have a Chevy 454 under the hood, wish gas was cheaper because I love driving the beast.
With the big motor and 4:56 gears she romps pretty good.

I also have this 1972 GMC High Sierra 3/4 ton 4X4,my Dad bought this one new and was driving it when I was in high school so I know it's all original (350/ 4spd-205 with 4:10 gears).
I drove it for 10 years and then put it in a barn awaiting a full restoration, hope I can get it done by the time I retire.

I've always like those 70s and 80s Chevy and ford trucks. I would like to put a 454 in the 57. I also want to make an off-road truck one day, I am thinking an old jeep or maybe a 90s bronco, nothing to crazy as I would use it to plow with in the winters. And something to use to drive on the beaches by me, as I'm NOT driving my ram on it, I don't even like bringing it to put the boat in the water. What kind of boat do you have there Y2K?

Yea my my linehaul routes still boring I miss the YRC days when I ran all over changing everyday but all good things come to an end. And everyone thinks truckers don't make money, my dad's friend been telling me it's hard to find good pay which it is. I showed him our new contract pay that we will have and was shocked I'm making a lot more than him.

Nice! Love that 57 pickup. Reminds me of the F-100 Silvester Stallone drove in the movie The Expendables. Muscle trucks are so ######.

If there's one thing I've learned about boats is that they're money pits.

    Break Out Another Thousand $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yeah I know what you mean.. I run local for a Fedex ground contractor doing the same exact thing everyday. The main reason I'm getting out of it however is because he offers no benefits whatsoever

Best day of my life was selling my boat and you'd think I'd learn my lesson but NOPE. Now that I live close to the water now it's a bit different.

I never got bored of my FXG package routes. Nothing boring about talking to hot girls my age and hitting on them. Got a few numbers doing that. But same problem no benefits no nothing just a pay check

That's part of my problem, we have 3 lakes close to the house all are over 4000 acres each.
Two of them are within 20 minutes of the house.
