Got some great messages today. One was "no go" and the other was "roll to co". Apparently the cat in the hat is covering my DM's seat today. But I do have four days to get from Nevada to Aurora, CO now!! Lol. More messages from there in the a.m...

Figured the Central Truck Stop was as good of place as any to post up, rather than starting a totally new thread as I have just a quick question.
I start school Monday at the main terminal in WVC. I live just down the block, so I'll be commuting daily. Anyone have a tip on where to park? I went and looked today, seems like they're pretty short on visitor parking but there was some room on the west side of the building. Or would I park in the driver's lot?
Also, any tips on what to bring/not bring from experience? I've read all the articles here and on Trucking Truth, so I have a good idea what is "suggested" already.
Any other helpful hints for a rookie? -

But overall a very efficent program if used right. -
Is a good resource for what to expect in school and what to bring
From what I remember the first part of class is in Building 1 so you would want to park on the north side of the building.
After that you will be in the yard and the class room in the VIP loung so you will want to park on the south sife (by the trucks) of the arking lot.
Hope it helpsArkansas Frost Thanks this. -
OK all I just need to post what happened to me last night. I was driving from Denver to Sacramento and as I was coming down the west side of elk mountain a gust of wind pushed my trailer out from behind me in the ice. I felt something was wrong then quickly realized what was going on corrected and when I regained control my tractor was in the fast lane and my tandems where regaining traction on the rumble strip next to the slow lane. That's right at one point the entire truck and trailer where going sideways down the road. So I always called myself just a steering wheel holder because I believed you needed 6 months before you could call yourself a driver. I calling myself a driver after that I don't think a steering wheel holder could have recovered.

Corsair, glad you kept it upright!! I shut down in ft Bridger last night because I didn't wanna close Wyoming on the ice with a 5K trailer. Going to check out the roads now. Be safe yall
