The point is this: The lawsuit has nothing to do with fracking. The plaintiffs don't want there property values lowered by a massive water tower soaring above their expensive property. In addition, the tower could draw a lot of heavy truck traffic. Here's the catch - fracking is only one of many potential uses for that water. The left has said this tower is being built for fracking and that's not true. They saw the word (mentioned almost as an afterthought in the lawsuit) and all of a sudden it's a "frack tower". We have plenty of water towers out here, and I've hauled plenty of water to frack sites. Not one of them was from a water tower.
Here's an article that sheds a different light on the story. -
The water tower would not be needed if there was no fracking.
The point many are making is that why is it so different for him and his property and the average home owner with all of their life tied up when he wants to build the water tower and frack in their world.

This article states that they are concerned the water "could" be sold for fracking and they worry about the trucking increase. -
Well comrade, if there's one news source that can be counted on to provide well researched, unbiased reporting on happenings in the USA, it has to be The Voice of Russia. Seriously dude, your argument would have more credibility if you were quoting the Huffington Post. Voice of Russia ....... really????
See my link in the post above. It's from the Midland newspaper. I'll grant you there might be a slight bias because we're in oil country, but I'll trust their writers over the Voice of Russia in a New York minute. -
You forgot the link

That area is completely dead. They said in the first article they haven't sold frac wafer since 09 and that's not gonna change anytime soon.

He is justified in it. He doesn't want some hulking water tower ruining the views of his million dollar property. It has nothing to do with fracking. Rich people always protect their investments, that's how they stay rich.
Let's take a poll of all the water haulers here and ask how many of them have ever loaded from a water tower. I'm willing to bet its zero. We either load from pits or tanks on the ground. The lawyer made a mistake. Sounds to me he was trying to think of as many reasons as possible to support his case, that's what lawyers usually do. -

I'm thinking the point here resides with ole Rex talking out both sides of his mouth. If this was an everyday rancher with a million dollar ranch and didn't want it, no problem but since it's the CEO of Exxon whom promotes fracking to push his salary ( round about way ) then he's a hypocrite . Guy doesn't want the potential trucks around his property...and I get that but he's still a hypocrite.
Knife cuts both ways...doesn't it.
