Buying a 2012 W900 with a ISX 525. My 1st emissions motor. Help

    I have a 2013 CM2250 ISX 15, just hit 200,000 mi. I have had zero issues (knock on wood) with EGR, DPF or the urea. The only problem has been low fuel mileage. All the issues I have been told about are with the CM870 & CM871.

    I am a huge cummins fan and I just bought a volvo. Guys with Petes and kw can not even talk crap anymore because they are ALL too busy going bankrupt in the shop.... And I am not exaggerating. Volvo was using this technology in Europe 7 years before we did where as cummins is still learning. Detroit is doing decent.

    The question of why would you drive anything with emitions is simple, because not everyone wants to drive a old peice of crap and every now and then you'd like something new.

    I work in the oilfield where no matter what I drive, I make enough money to fix it but even in the patch I'm seeing guys lose sleep over this...... I know one member of this forum in the Canadian section is a Pete person and recently went volvo. Usually Pete people hate volvo so that's saying alot

    I got the warranty work info from the dealer. It had been in the shop 28 times since it was new. The list was basically all motor work. That made it easy to pass on the truck. I had no idea you could spend that kind of money and still end up with that bad of a truck. Thanks for the info though. I'm going to throw some more money at the old truck and run her another year.
