I'm on the dry van side we run everywhere but mainly Midwest and east coast a lot to me they not strict but other drivers tend to think so for whatever reason they have been fair to me so I don't complain want a load to a certain area they can do it for you

I was with Enterprise when Kenan bought them out on Feb 1, 2013. The pay at Enterprise was ok, but the benefits where over the top. Really miss that part. I would say that Transport Service seems to be about average in the tanker world. We lost some perks at first, but they have given us some back and some things that Enterprise didn't have. I think it's been a learning curve for them and the Enterprise drivers. If you talk to a Transport Service driver in the white Volvo, they seem happy. The thing that I'm starting see is an increase in freight. Starting to see more out and back runs in our area.
If your looking at tanker company's, give them a look. Everyone has an idea of what there looking for in a company, it's a matter of finding the right fit. Good luck.

Is it constant freight...do they have a idle policy? How often do you run empty and how far?How strict are they on saftey?
Where do yall run? How long is orientation? How does the tanker training work?

Freight was steady thru the winter and seems be picking up now. You can idle the truck. System drivers usually go to the closet terminal or maybe a tank wash, then get a trailer for there next load or get a pre-loaded trailer. Big on safety as most companys are. They do have a safety bonus, but not sure how it works. They run all 48 states and Canada. Heard we had a team truck that went to Alaska. Orientation is a week and they fly you there and back. I haven't been to there orientation so not sure what it's all about.

With you being in Houston, your in the best area. There's terminals and customers everywhere down there. I would say, most runs are east of I35 but we do some loads going out west. And some to Canada. Sorry, I know that's not much detail, but I'm not a system driver. As far as chemicals go, I guess about anything you could think of, but no waste. I would guess about 30 percent of what I haul is hazmat.

Do you run regional or local? And they don't haul a lot of hazmat?

I'm an O/O with TSC and I think they're a decent co. Yes they're owned by Kenan but that's the parent and there's a few divisions. I like to run Midwest mostly. They've got plenty of freight. I think the co drivers seem happy with good pay. Trucks are gov at 65, yes the pay is good when loaded but you don't want to deadhead much anyway. They've got enough freight so deadhead will stay at a min. They do run west coast but I'm not sure if the back hauls are any good. I wouldn't go to CA, because of my truck and I stay away from Canada, but each to his own.

I'm a local/regional driver. I'm out one or two nights a week. I go to the same customers must of the time and there's not to much hazmat for me. Also deliver some loads that are dropped on the yard by system drivers. Maybe Fandango44 could answer the hazmat question better.
