Out of curiosity, why did you choose Maverick over TMC? I'm currently talking to both companies and both tell me they want me as soon as I graduate from "truckin" school all I need to do is call them when I finish school.

So I went down to the license office today and got my license. Then I called Mav and gave Angie my license number. She's gonna call my current employer Monday and make sure everythings still good,and run another mvr to update everything. She's gonna call me Tuesday and let me know what's goin on. I've been on the list for 2 months so it may be about time to go!

 

Ok, 1st chance to post since the over a week ago. I did the bus trip last Fri/Sat, and started orientation last Sunday. made it all the way through, got my job offer on Thursday. We had approx. 25 people listed to start last Sunday, a couple never showed, about 1/2 were either school grads of people like me who have been out of a truck for too long. By Thursday at job offer time, there were only 9 of us 'students' left, and the experienced group lost a few, also.

So now I wait to go through securement training starting tomorrow through Thurs., I think, then out with the trainer.

So the worrying about the physical, getting the Doctor clearances and all the rest is now past. Everything is coming back to me real quick, so hopefully I won't have to be out with the trainer for too long a time period.
