Put the driver out of service for a false log. The dispatch paper work showed dispatched while on his break. DOT asked if he had communicated with the dispatch and he said yes. So, it was classed as on duty not driving and OOS for false log with the fine.mje Thanks this.

I have always been asked when I go home "If we need you can we call you?". I answer is always "Yes, if you REALLY NEED me call". I have done very well doing those little favors because I don't do it for nothing.
mje Thanks this. -
Most often though those "little favors" are one way only!!!
The minute YOU need a "little favor", let us know how they respond!!!mje Thanks this. -
So how does he "miss the call"? If the person on the other end leaves a voice mail (they should) then you listen to the voice mail, and if it's a paperwork issue, you call back and resolve it. If they want you to go out early and you don't, you ignore it.mje Thanks this.

They forgot what that thing sticking out of the side of the steering column is.
I think the problem was communication, maybe someone didn't look at the load info more carefully, or your dm might have been swamped with phone calls, etc and just glanced at the info, sent it through, and didn't catch the error before you got it. I'm lucky where I'm at, I'll get set up for the weekend, either a load going through the house, or if it my weekend to run, it'll have a nice delivery time just after the weekend and I don't get bothered much (if at all)at home or during that weekend, unless all hell breaks loose and someone fails to pickup a load, crashes, or DOT decides to do a weekend surprise.NavigatorWife, mje and trucker3205 Thank this. -
I got road sick once, but mom had the foresight to have a puke bucket in the back of the station wagon.mje Thanks this.

It goes back to Pavlov's dog research. If the phone rings, some people think they have to answer it as a response.mje, mickeyrat, truckerdave1970 and 3 others Thank this.
