Heartland express pays

Jeez cleaninglady... you are about 6 months behind on your news here....

 

Every heartland driver I've run into seems like they are pissed off at the world

 

Maybe the wouldn't be if you QUIT RUNNING INTO THEM

 

The way you put this does not make any sense. But by reading responses I understand your only getting half the mileage your referring to of 3k, just not real clear thanks

 

I just quit working for this company 2 weeks ago. Deduct about 8cpm and you
will get an idea of the actual pay. A totally cheap skate company. If you like to
work for free this is the job for you. Lousy stripped down trucks.About 80% of
your driving at night.Sit in the inspection line at terminals for 2 to 5 hrs with no
pay.They wont authorize tolls unless its a critical account.You average about
1200-2000 miles a week. They don't get you home when you need to even if its
important. Its standard practice not to pay drivers for all types of detention they
owe the driver.You will drive on average 300-500 mi a week with no pay since it
it means you might have to use a toll road.they average about a 100% driver turn
over rate.Basically just another bottom feeder company that claim they have a
high cpm pay scale. A bunch of thieving,lying cheats. They just bought Gordon
Trucking for $300million. They got that money cheating their drivers everytime
they turn around.Sure there are worse companies than heartland,but these guys
try to pretend there the best.WHAT A JOKE...

You know whats funny.When I got home 2 weeks ago I had a letter
from Gordon Trucking asking me to come drive for them! Now why
would Gordon that is now owned by Heartland try to recruit a driver
from the company that bought them? I live in Tennessee,why try to
get me to drive for them?They are supposed to be a company that
runs out west. They must plan on expanding Gordon back east to
try to cover all that short haul freight they book that they cant find
enough drivers to haul for Heartland. I would predict in a few more
years there wont be any difference between either company. What
Heartland does is a real money maker for the company.Screw all
the drivers. They just hire a new batch every week.They run an
orientation in about 9 different terminals every week at the same
time. Do the math and you will see what their turn over is.

 

Ive yet to meet a heartland driver that had anything good to say about the job. They, as a general rule, feel that they were duped by the claimed high cpm pay. I have no personal experience with them so take my second hand report for what it's worth.
