I went back to page one for this one, I was not surprised to see that too tall is a recently new driver, not a surprise to me. Just because you drive a truck you think people in cars are going to stop, or move out of your way. Take a deep breath, the most people on this site at one time, is less then two thousand, out of the millions of people living here. Nothing personal but this is a rookie mistake, don't like being in that position, don't set yourself up for it, like you did here. People in cars don't see a truck as a threat, a lot of them see it as, early retirement. It is incumbant on the driver to protect, A-the truck B-the load C-the public and last but really the most important, YOURSELF.

    RBPC Thanks this.

I apologize, that wasn't very nice of me to say. We do however need to "weed out" a good portion of the drivers in this industry. Some folks, ok many folks just aren't cut out for a driving profession. Just because you can drive the truck, doesn't mean you know how to drive the truck.

Good explaination Nuthin, and I always thought it was:

'Just because you can drive a truck, that doesn't make you a trucker'.

I actually had to give a speech and a power point on this. Did my speech class listen? Half did and the other didn't and they will regret it. everyone needs to know how big the turning radius is period. I can guarantee you had they listened no one would be riding by trucks in their blind spots. Hope everything worked out tootall.

Nope. There's a few before the corner, a couple in the corner, and another half dozen around the corner.

The buttonhook is an illegal turn, if your gonna do it, then accept the consequences of that action. The public is always going to do stupid things, get used to it or get a job that is not driving.
