My advice to anyone reading this thread looking to get their own rig is do not go for a lease like lone mountain truck sales. Unless...! Unless you are absolutely sure you are going to be driving that truck for many years and have no reason to ever trade in or try to sell it. Sure, they will lease/sell/whatever to anyone, but they pile on all the interest and fees right away into that "lease". You cannot sell it or trade it in or get a payoff and save any interest $. Don't get me wrong, I will likely have paid just as much for my truck from Arrow by the time I have it paid off next January, but at least I had the option. JMO

Thanks for your honesty, pointing out the pros & cons. Glad to hear that overall you are a satisfied customer.

Even with good credit they will rape you with the interest?

Interesting. So you feel like you got, "rammed up the rear," yet you were, "happy with everything?" What on earth would they have to do for you to be unhappy I wonder?

I have not, but our company leases over 50 of all sizes from them. They are a stand up company, unlike the other large truck leasing company and I maybe going on my own in the near future and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them, if the truck and price is right.

You're welcome hobby. From what I was told being a first time buyer really drives up the interest, good credit or not. Truck609, yeah that's why I said overall I was happy. "Overall" meaning despite the pros and cons-a con obviously being the high interest. I guess saying "everything" was incorrect.

I bought a PENSKE truck some 7 years ago, got a great deal. One of best trucks I have owned, but I really checked them out before choosing one. Local F/Liner had gotten a dozen from PENSKE,some better than others. If you are able, talk to your bank for best finance options.Any dealer can find the lender, IF you are willing to pay the higher price interest. Good luck.

if i can get a truck financed on my own,i will never buy a truck from a dealership.look for an owner operator trying to sell his truck, the truck is usually better maintained and way cheaper.big companies like swift,jb hunt,us express buy trucks brand new,run them till the warranty is about to expire than sell them to dealerships like arrrow and lonemountain who clean those trucks jack up the prices and put them in their lot.paying 50 thousands dollars or more for a stock truck that got over half a million miles is just crazy and i dont care what make or year is it.

I bought my first truck from penske in 2012, it is a 2006 freighliner century, it had just 450000 miles when I bought it then now it has 630000 miles and it hasn't given me any issues except minor stuff like relays, the originally wanted 42500$ for it but I talked them down to 36500$ since i was paying full. I called them on a Friday afternoon and it took about 5mins over the phone to close the deal. Btw they have excellent maintenance program. They provided me with all the records since this truck was new. They also do oil, coolant samples too and they keep records of it. Only downside I had was they put recaps on drives. Other then that they keep their trucks super clean and top notch.
