I don't understand why he didn't just take a 2 hour nap and get back on the road? I don't ask for anyone's permission to stop . I am the caption of my ship.

Its really not a big loss if he loses his job. With what I seen and heard on that video,kb would be doing him a favor.Far as putting that video on the net for the world to see,its an eye opener

Guess what sly cat. You are paid to do a Job. After 10 hours you are expected to get the freight moving. Not call night dispatch with lame excuses how you can't keep your eyes open while recording them trying to give you tips and encouragement to get your candy tail in gear and get the load to it's destination. This guy isn't new to the game. I could understand if he drove 3 or 4 hours but a few hours and he can't keep his eyes open and he knew he had a load that was suppose to deliver 3 to 400 miles away. Just another one of these solar powered you tube drivers who can't get the job done. If he wasn't making you tubes video's and plotting on how he would make unsuspecting people doing their job out to be clowns. We wouldn't be talking about this. Dispatcher is looking at the screen and he see's he only drove an hour after a 10 hour break. So of course he's thinking he just got to get the blood flowing. Most of the hardest driving is the first few hours and the last few hours. This was a set up and I hope this guy doesn't ever get behind the wheel. I guess that is his plan because who does this and thinks another company is going to welcome him.

With the original load, dispatch wouldn't have that. But I still would have took it anyway and not said anything. But the point is kb pushed him beyond his limits and no driver should be bullied like this.

Yes , a rookie move. I would have off duty drove 20 miles down the road and not started my clock. No need for a second "10 hour break". I don't think we have the whole story .

Because the way it was stated, a 2-hour break was going to make the load late. And he already tried the 'walk around the truck to refresh' and it wasn't working. You can't drive a tight load and keep stopping to do jumping jacks in the cold air. As you heard in the video, they found another truck to come get the load, and he'd have 2 hours to sleep before driving the rest of the other guy's load to its destination. Which he was fine with. Maybe they could've PLANNED THAT EARLIER IN THE DAY.... Anyways, he goes to sleep, and as stated at the end of the video, KB called the cops on him feigning worry over their driver's health and for the LEO to go check on him to make sure he was okay because they had been trying to 'get ahold of him for hours'... which was false, they had talked to him about 45 minutes earlier. They used a government resource meant to protect us as a wake-up service for their own personal non-caring greed.

There's a reason I love being an O/O. And it's because I decide which load to take and for how much. Don't want to drive tired, illegal, or for so little.. .I don't do it. I'm sure that overnight load paid well. The driver who was expected to do it was simply going to get a 'job well done' at the end of it.

KB has a guarantee pay thing. So if you run 1500 miles you still get paid the 8 or 900 dollars they guarantee. He shouldn't even be mad he had a slow day and he is on guarantee pay. This dude just wanted to make a video and play the victim. Sadly most of you fell for the scam. Ohh poor dude who stayed up all day playing final fantasy and watching little house on the prairie dvd's. Bad dispatcher who wants this cat to move the load that he had on him alllllllll day. Now a limited staff night shift has to come up with a Hell Mary play to get the load covered. This is more then a Service failure. This is DRIVER FAILURE. TURN CDL IN, DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT 200 DOLLARS AND FIND YOUR OWN WAY HOME.

How would off-duty driving 20 miles help this situation?
