Wondering which stops would be the best for food, fuel, service. Also looking to stay away from the more seedy ones. Here's my route: 81 PA to TN, 40W toward Knoxville , 75 toward Chattanooga, 24W, 59 toward Birmingham, 459 toward Tuscaloosa/Montgomery, 20W toward Tuscaloosa, 59 toward Laurel/New Orleans, 12W toward Hammond, 10W toward Lafayette, 59 via exit 770A . Thanks in advance guys/gals.

got a smart phone? go download the apps for truck stops. Love's has an app. Pilot, Flying J has one so does TA, Petro.
too easy. also download the CAT scale app. as they maybe in more places than the major chains. and Where there is a Cat scale there is a truckstopDickson Thanks this. -
Whatever you do, make sure you stop at the Tiger Truckstop in Grosse Tete, LA (I-10 exit 139). They have some of the best authentic Cajun cookin around. Not to be missed. Also, the Spaceway Travelcenter in Meridian, MS (I-20 exit 129) has great fried chicken. The Dixie Truckstop in Elliston, VA (I-81 exit 128 ) has really good burgers.
These places should keep you well-fed on your journey. Good luck.Dickson Thanks this. -
There are only 2 truckstops between CT and TX and one burned down. Bad Luck Mate!

This will work better on a laptop, but I use www.findfuelstops.com for husband a lot. It does not have all the branded stations. Not all stations are parking areas either, so pull up the info first. But you put in the city where you start, end and a via point if you need it to go a certain way and it will populate the route with what is on it. Also when you pull up a station it will have other things like Walmart, etc. Always check the Walmart and make sure it is one you can get into easily, and call first.
And according to the time of the day is where you might land at also. Plan ahead.
And I know a lot of driver complain about paying to park at a TA, but it has come in handy several times when there is no other parking available near and the hours are about gone. Their number is # 855-847-7275Dickson Thanks this. -
On that route I like to do
Goldys Lee hi on 81 (Walmart down road if I didn't hit hagerstown)
Strawberry east of Knoxville pilot to laugh at Peyton Manning taking my taco bell order in my head/the workin girls.
Or past Chattanooga on battlefield prkwy you could do that Walmart with a fazolis (its a yucky one) & a taco bell.
Prob do breaux bridge & do Walmart again next door to pilot.
I 59 theres the Atlanta tx Walmart prob do that for food or 30's
That'll keep ya from spending so much $.
I'd avoid stopping in Knoxville (or Tennessee in general) & Birmingham. Didn't really give me what food you liked so stuck with saving you a few bucks.Dickson and NavigatorWife Thank this.
