According to Swift and another company recruiter from a nameless but well thot of training company, 55 would be the safest speed.
buttttt.....That's 25 mph under the speed limit! in west Texas, and 70-75 is the speed limit mostly in the west.
"That"s what WalMart trucks are governed at and they have the best safety record."
So sayeth the recruiter from Oregon when she came to the school.
I just shut up.

Lol that's bull , you know how many Wal-Mart trucks I have been passed by .
I was looking somewhere and someone said TMC is governed at 62 like we are , so how do so many of them pass me like I am sitting still ? I don't get it .
They can say all they want about safest speed , but that's a hazard .
some places in texas its 80 mph.
try running down 287 in texas at 55 once . Lmfao the first cattle truck that goes by you will blow right off the road . Hashanah. And that's no #### -
I totally agree with you. and yes, I do live in Texas.
Those who think 70 mph is fast have never tried driving across Texas.

I wish you the best when your year is up, and like the saying goes, something about a door and a butt. Like moose said earlier, I also am willing to help where I can, but if all that you want to do is get petty, then again, good luck in your new future. Ever give some thought that some of the problems that are going on are not from Swift but Maybe Central, those that might be losing their jobs or unsure, so they really do not care. -
Lol.
Thats not my only problem . Its just everything .
I don't mean to be rude to you or everyone one that has been helping , because god knows we ain't getting any help from our side . I just can't stand being engorged anymore .
I apologize if it seems like I don't appreciate your help . I am just so frustrated right now .
So anyhow , I don't know if I will make it till my year is up , so the door ain't gonna hit anything.
Like I said its not just computer generated messages , its everything .
Here is a good for instance :
Yesterday , woke up looked at the weather , did a little planning for the day and was like wow I will be almost 2 days early.

Load # iz18973 question ?
I will be roughly 2 days early on this , and I looked at the weather for dallas area its gonna be bad .
would there be anyway I could drop this load , and get another load to maybe get me out of the area a little early .
Hrs went be no response . Ok. Sent another message . No response .
Sent in a message about needing to get reefer fuel somewhere , cause I thought that might get a reply , and yup nothing again .
Its things like that , is why I am so irritated.
Even if they sent me a simple no , we can't just in case we can't get another driver to cover it . Ok fine I understand , but to blatantly ignore me . Not cool !!!!!!Last edited: Mar 2, 2014

I have to tell you that when I started here about 3 years ago there was lots that was not even covered in Orientation that many of us just found out the hard way, and there are even changes going on now that many of us do not know, or even our own DM's. Even with corporate being in Phoenix, all of the different terminals have their own set of rules on how they do things, like getting a MT and we will not even know until we go in and ask. Also I remember that when I started, with all of my years experience, the many people that was getting on me about going with Swift, and still I gave it a try. Has it all been easy, no, but, I am still here. A lot has to do with your terminal, your DM. What is good about Swift, if we are having problems with our terminal, we can look around and find one that works for us. This is what I did. There are those of us that are here to help where we can. I know what it is like to not be able to get a answer, but keep in mind, maybe there is no answer because really no one knows. There are questions that even we ask as far as the change, and can not get answers.
-
I don't really know if we can chose another terminal , because we are still planned and dispatched by Central .
at least that's what I have been told . Probably a lie as well ..
You know , if swift sees all this going on they should just go in and clean house now , I mean really why wait ?
you know how many central drivers left all ready ? Its a lot or maybe that's what they want hell I don't know . Could be tho
We will see . -
Then would not this fall into what you said above, still planning and dispatched by Central, and being their fault and not Swift. I am planned and dispatched by Swift and choose what home terminal that I want. As far as planning, it depends on where within the 48 that I am in. My terminal is MN, and if I am lets say in the Dallas area, I am planned out of the Lancaster terminal. Within CA, I could be planned from one of 3 terminals. Not every terminal plans. Columbus is a large terminal, and if you are there, you will be planned out of either the Memphis or PA one.

Yea ok I see what ya did there . Lol
I have called , to swift already to ask questions about some things . They say you have to call the central office , and then other things central says you have to call swift .
I asked the one guy , wouldn't it be easier to just close central all together . I mean I don't know who to call for what .
he just laughed ,
