####, 25 down to 9? I guess I better get that Playboy out from under my bed, if it's found I might not get through orientation!
-
From their magazine in 2006 they had 20.000 leads. Out of that 35% were asked to apply. Less than 1 % were actually hired. They are not like most companies that will take anyone just to fill a seat. They have high standards. That is another thing that makes them such a good company to work for. They want the best of the best to represent them.
-
You are right, Tarps, they are not a CDL mill that's for sure. I'm just not sure if they would take me on fresh out of Roadmaster with only a shiny, new CDL-A and very little seat time.
-
You do not need a school as long as you have a CDL and can listen and follow directions and have a good background. They want positive minded drivers that the customer see's and says there goes another maverick driver. Our drivers and our trucks is what the customer sees. Not the ones in our offices.

Hey tarps, any ideas on DOT physical? I am on BP meds and just went to the doctor telling him I need to be below 140/90 and he gave me a stronger med which should hopefully get it where it needs to be. But my blood sugar is also high, but I am not diabetic nor do I require any meds for that. But I saw on a thread where a guy was cut out orientation because his sugar was too high but didn't say what too high meant.

Somewhere I have a link to DOT's website that tells what all the requirements are. If you have a BP problem make sure that your meds keep it in check and list it on your physical. Also do not drink and caffene or smoke the morning of the physical nor after the physical beacuse they will test you a couple more times during the flexability test. After that you will be OK.

I'm pretty sure the BP will be okay with the meds. I may only get one year instead of two, but as long as I pass I am okay with that.
It's the blood sugar that has me concerned now. Reading other health threads trying to find anything. -
Click that link I put up it is DOT's
