I have a question, even though I turned my truck in last Weds. I got my settlement for 2/13 and there ends up being a new loan for 1,680.00. The next statement has 150.00 deducted for this loan. Then this last settlement they took out the remaining balance. I spoke with payroll and they said they advanced that money to cover the negative pay to give a positive pay. There was never advanced that much...the negative pay was only -35 bucks. Then it was said that it must of come from Central before the payroll switch. However, according to the Central pay statements, there was never a loan for that much. Just wondering if any of the other drivers (company or owner ops) have noticed this on their settlements as well?

Been reading this thread. Lady K, would you mind a swifty hanging out here. Happily answer any questions, as long as not petty. I am a L/O and have been at for 3 years now here. I can answer many questions that you and others might have, within reason, including some of the easy ways to get around the system, different terminals and how they differ from one another. As far a the lease program, there I would have no answers. I only know our and some of us are trying to get answers as far as any changes in the pay.
Arkansas Frost Thanks this. -
did you guys hear of anything about pay cuts or is it a driver throwing out a rumor? because i really like central and getting a pay cut would really make me rethink stuff.

So I'm past the point of no return. Finished my two week notice Friday, start training for Central in about 14 hours. Any last minute tips from people that went through CRS school? I've read everything I can, think I've asked all the questions I have, but still incredibly nervous and feeling unprepared for such a huge shift.
When I was considering school two years ago, I was hearing a lot of good. Now there's quite a bit of negative on here with the merger. Is it just "accustomizing" bias, or has the company really got that bad? I can't really back off at this point. Was it poor timing? Do you still enjoy your jobs as much as you all seemed two a few years ago? -

The idle policy is loosely enforced and if it's under 10* you are expected to idle to protect the truck and yourself. Idle policy doesn't apply to O/Os.
You guys have the right over speed policy video. The only way you can get an over speed is letting the truck run out going down a grade ... Swift takes this one very seriously. Control your speed going down grades within the policy. Swift will fire you as per the policy, as outlined in the video.smadronia and Arkansas Frost Thank this. -
